Lauren Stevens is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 12 years of experience working with individuals and families in various settings.
She has guided her clients through family and adolescent therapy, crisis management, relationship challenges and stress management/mindfulness practices. Lauren has worked in schools, drug rehabilitation settings, child development centers and non-profit wellness clinics thus bringing a diverse array of skills to her practice.
From a very young age, Lauren has been enthusiastic and determined to work with people in a clinical setting. Her empathic, warmhearted and holistic approach provides a safe space for clients through their journey of healing and self-care. Through her own professional development and direct practice work, Lauren has come to firmly believe that supportive therapy is a fundamental piece in becoming our best self.
Working with a therapist can help increase feelings of self-love, self-compassion and connection to ourselves and others who are important to us. Therapy can also assist in learning how to manage current life stressors or shed light on patterns of difficulty both past and present. People thrive when relationships are healthy and balanced. Our very livelihood depends on them. Therapy can assist in improving those connections with ourselves and others.
Lauren uses evidence-based mindfulness and stress management techniques as the foundation for her work as well as Strengths-Based therapy, which honors all the good you have inside of you. Utilizing and building on those strengths can facilitate emotional health and healing.
Taking the first step to seek support is the most difficult and it takes courage to do so. Lauren looks forward to meeting you where you are in your journey with the goal of moving you and your loved ones towards a happier and more fulfilling life.
