Anita Bardsley, MA, LMFT
Anita received her Master of Arts in Integral Counseling Psychology from The California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in San Francisco, California and is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist.
She works with adults, young adults, and adolescents who are struggling with many of life’s challenges, such as depression, anxiety, relationships, grief/loss, cancer, emotional eating, self-esteem, trauma, and more. She works collaboratively, authentically, and without judgement with those who would like to understand themselves at a deep level, and who hope for the possibility of light in a world that may appear dark.
Anita’s approach to therapy is relational, depth-oriented, and integrative, drawing upon a variety of frameworks including, yet not limited to, psychodynamic, humanistic, attachment, trauma-informed, multi-cultural, and mindfulness.
Through a warm, compassionate, and caring relationship, Anita can help you understand parts of yourself that you might not yet understand – to gain insight, discover new perspectives, and offer you new ways of experiencing your world. She strongly believes that the relationship you build together is of fundamental importance to the healing and transformation process and that therapy is most effective when the conditions are created that allow you to bring your full self into the space.
Anita strives to create a safe and containing space, allowing you to trust and explore your emotions, feelings, and thoughts. She is passionate about her work and she cares deeply about her clients. Her hope is to assist you in finding greater wellbeing and a deep sense of joy in your life.
