She has over 5 years of experience working with children, caregivers, and families in the foster care system that have endured high stressors and trauma. Monica is committed to helping individuals, couples, and families process the challenges that come up in their lives, while guiding them towards a road of healing.
Monica operates from a client-centered and strength-based standpoint, at times integrating trauma-informed, attachment-based, and relational aspects. She aims to help her clients gain a better understanding of themselves, as well as helping them navigate life in a way that not only amplifies their strengths, but also supports their needs. Her kind, warm, and non-judgmental presence provides clients with the safety and comfort needed to help them share parts of themselves that might be too difficult to share with others.
Monica loves to spend time with her loved ones, especially her dog, Boba. She enjoys watching live music, eating ice cream, and spending time in the sunshine. Monica values compassion, respect, equality, authenticity, laughter, and living a life that is both happy and well-balanced. Monica’s ultimate goal is to build a collaborative relationship with her clients, helping them to achieve their goals and improving their sense of self and outlook on life, together.
