Poppy Haines, AMFT, BCBA
Poppy received her B.A. in Psychology from UC Davis and M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Bridgewater State University. She is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and Registered Yoga Teacher. Poppy has worked in mental and behavioral health for the last fifteen years and is passionate about utilizing a holistic approach to wellness that is firmly rooted in empirically supported treatments and practices.
She has extensive experience working with children with a variety of mental health diagnosis and neurological disorders, those who have experienced trauma, or children who simply struggle in traditional school settings or home routines. She is particularly adept at providing coaching and behavioral supports and plans for youth and their families by creating actionable steps and solutions.
Additionally, she works with individuals, teens, children and families who are experiencing grief, depression, anxiety, trauma, and related issues. Utilizing a warm, empathic, and collaborative approach, Poppy can provide insight and coping strategies that will help address the challenges you are facing. Poppy incorporates an integrative approach to assist you in the therapeutic process. She believes therapy can be an important means of gaining insight, healing, and personal growth. Poppy draws from a variety of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and therapeutic somatic modalities that consider the strong mind-body intersect and its influence on our wellbeing.
She feels it is a privilege to do this work and looks forward to creating a comfortable space to allow you to explore and gain greater self-awareness, personal growth and healing.
