Alicia M. Persaud, MA, LMFT
Therapy, to me, isn’t about fixing—it’s about understanding, accepting, and growing. It’s a process of reconnecting with and caring for yourself. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a master’s degree from Pepperdine University and several years of experience, I offer a calm, compassionate space for meaningful healing and insightful reflection.
I work with clients from diverse backgrounds who are seeking long-term growth, increased self-awareness, and deeper connection with themselves and others. I especially connect with highly sensitive people, introverts, reflective thinkers, and deep feelers. I value building authentic, lasting therapeutic relationships and believe therapy works best when it unfolds over time—not as a quick fix, but as a steady, supportive process.
My work focuses on anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, and complex family dynamics. I also support clients navigating ADHD, relationship challenges, body image and disordered eating, attachment wounds, self-esteem challenges, and patterns of self-harm or suicidal ideation. My approach is gentle, client-led, and grounded in empathy. I integrate trauma-informed, somatic, and mindfulness-based practices, along with EMDR, DBT, CBT, ACT, and motivational interviewing to support lasting change.
Whether you're new to therapy or returning to it, I welcome you and would be honored to support you on your journey.
