Taylor Welsh, AMFT

Hi! I’m Taylor, a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) and registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC). I work with adults, children, adolescents, couples, and families. I'm passionate about meeting clients where they are at and understanding their lived experiences. I utilize a person-centered approach grounded in my belief that your needs and aspirations guide the therapy process.

I earned my B.A. in Sociology and Justice, Community, Leadership from Saint Mary’s College of California and my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Palo Alto University.

Drawing from my past clinical experience with adolescents in a school-based setting and working with adult clients through telehealth, I place great importance on the therapeutic relationship itself, striving to foster a collaborative space while incorporating integrative approaches to meet your goals.

I believe therapy can look different for each person, and I aim for this process to incorporate the stepping stones - whether learning new skills, exploring values, considering how we show up in relationship with others, or more - that move you toward the best version of yourself.

Outside of the therapy office, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones - pets included! - and volunteering in the animal welfare space. My belief in the power of relationships isn’t limited to those amongst humans, which drives my desire to one day contribute to the field of animal-assisted therapy.

I’d be honored to take this next step with you and can be reached at the instituteofmindfultherapy@gmail.com.
