  • Christopher France, AMFT

Chris is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master of Arts in Transpersonal Psychology from John F. Kennedy University.  Chris’s humanistic style is grounded in compassion, empathy and connection.  His goal is to create a safe space for the client to explore their feelings and address their needs. Chris uses reflective dialogue and supportive statements to help the client gain perspective.  As a hollistic counselor, Chris can help you to see all parts of yourself, even the ones that you have hidden from yourself. Therapy is a journey into the unknown so that we can release the things that no longer serve us.  In this way we can find health, happiness and the freedom to explore the world from a new, more positive, perspective. In session Chris uses a combination of Active listening, reflecting, Transpersonal Psychology, CBT, Positive Psychology, Expressive Arts, Somatic and trauma informed therapies. Regarding substance use and chemical dependency Chris utilizes motivational interviewing, harm reduction and strength based interventions.  Chris is supervised by Sorrenta Stuart.
